Issue No. 01 · Autumn
The Edit.
Stories, interviews and rooms — from the studio and the makers we keep company with.
From the Editor
“The most beautiful rooms are never finished — they are lived in. The Edit is a record of how we are living, and the pieces that go with it.”
— Refinery Home
Refinery Home is a collection of furnishings, textiles, lighting, and decorative objects inspired by the world’s most beautiful homes, storied hotels and the rooms that gather a life around them. The Edit is where we write about it.
Every issue is a walk through a room, a conversation with a maker, or a list of the small things we cannot stop reaching for. Read at the pace of a Sunday morning.

Notes from the studio
Where does the collection begin?
With the room. We start by imagining how a space will be lived in, then source the pieces that belong there — never the other way around.
What makes something Refinery?
Provenance, restraint, and a maker we trust. Nothing on the floor without all three.
How do you choose makers?
Slowly. We travel to the workshop, sit with the work, and only stock what we would put in our own homes.
